Breakfast.

I love breakfast. I reeeally do. Whether it be Mexican, American, or good ol' Southern. Yes, Southern is in a class all it's own. My go to quick meal, no matter what time of day, is scrambled eggs and toast. I figured since I am so fond of breakfast I should expand my repertoire. Last week I read an article about French Toast in ReadyMade. The photo looked super yum so I tried my hand at making it.

I did not have any pecans. I ended up using almonds. Instead of chi butter I made my own honey cinnamon butter. (melt a half a stick of butter with a tablespoon of honey and cinnamon to taste)

Kitschy

Over the past month or so I have found myself in two conversations regarding style. At some point during both conversations I described my style as kitschy. To my surprise neither of the individuals I was speaking to knew the meaning of kitsch. I offered a quick definition.

Some may call many of my belonging tacky and gaudy. I think much of my stuff is vulgar. I like items that represent culture... whatever culture that may be. I am sure this is due to my study of sociology and mass media.

Truthfully, I do not think kitsch is the best possible word to describe my style. Until I find a more fitting word I am sticking with kitsch. Even if I do get shitty looks from people.
